The industries are moving. Here is the guidance behind it.

Across oil and gas, nuclear, aviation, maritime, chemicals, and rail, industry bodies are publishing formal guidance on Human Performance and proactive learning. This page collects every major document in one place, organized by sector.

Ten years ago, the idea that organizations should learn from everyday work, not only from incidents, was an academic concept. Today it is formal guidance in oil and gas (IOGP Report 642), aviation (Flight Safety Foundation’s “Learning from All Operations”), maritime (the SAFEMODE white paper), nuclear (IAEA and NRC), and occupational safety standards (ANSI/ASSP Z10). The movement is global and cross-sector. What was once a philosophy now has industry-endorsed documents, tools, and implementation frameworks behind it.

Learning from Normal Work, authored by Dr Marcin Nazaruk and published by IOGP, is one of the foundational documents in this space.
